Decided to dip my toes into CAD software and made a flying stand for my magnetic bases I use for my miniatures to transport them in a metal box.
I used extending magnetic grabbers I bought off amazon https://www.amazon.de/dp/B09P8924T4?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details but also found similar ones on aliexpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005368537966.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.746b1802m4xTMh.
And also used 10x2mm magnets in the bases of the miniatures https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0C7Q261P4?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I included the .step files in case you need to adjust the holes to your printer tolerances.
The hole thing will probably also work if you glue a metal chip to the base of your minis in case you want to use the ones
