Summary

magnetic chess set made to print on the original Prusa MK3

Round magnets needed:
(x3) 8-10 mm long x 6 mm
(x96) 5-6 mm long x 4 mm
i bought these cheap from gearbest-takes a while though to arrive

glue will also be needed but i wouldnt recommend super glue that binds in 10 sec.
i used a superglue gel that took 30sec to bind.

be very careful that every magnet is the right way round. 1 mess up and u willl have to start all over with printing and buying magnets

pls do test prints with the chess plates i printed them at 101% size

the holes on the chess board have a nice fit for the 4mm round magnets so that u can push them nicely in without them falling deeper in the hole. i pushed these magnets with my finger nail 1mm down to decrease the magnet strengh i then put glue on top of them and i placed the plates(Tiles) on top.

the holes in the chess pieces are slightly too large which makes it harder to glue them in maybe decreasing the size to 99% might help make the holes tighter. dont put the pieces to close together when the glue is binding the magnets could move by them self.
