The file 'Magnet Mounting Plate Thingy (25mm Conduit) 3D Printer Model' is (PDF,SLDPRT,STL,DWG) file type, size is 485.4KB.
This is a 25mm conduit remix of the MPCNC.
UPDATE: Solidworks part included.(check the RAMPA nuts for size... the BIG holes)
This mount plate is mostly for myself, but hey... You might get an idea from it. The magnets I had lying arround I bought online. The rest of the z-axis you can find here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1560494
Specs of the magnets:
Specs for the screws:
I used M5 for the holes on the top. This is to secure heavy duty tools. The "RAMPA nut" is included in the pictures. The smaller ones for M3 fit perfectly in the holes cleaned by a 4,5mm drill (use it slow on PLA.
The sides need to be drilled with 4,5mm for the M3 bolds (extra mounting point for ??????) The top 2 holes are for the big RAMPA nuts and M5, all other holes are for magnets. 4x 8,5mm and 4x 14mm.
I included the measurements for a tool plate. The mount point should be heart to heart 75mm apart. Both should have the magnets at the top. Later the tool plate will have a locking mechanism (still ploundering about that).
These magnets are strong, so don't just place them near metal ! They will launch towards whatever it is.
