Summary

Have you ever wanted to power something of your own design with a common rechargeable battery? Now you can! This adapter accepts a Milwaukee M12 battery in the handle and supports a trigger-activated microswitch to turn your project on and off. Just three parts form the basic module and NO SUPPORTS are required!

Parts needed:
1x M12 battery
2x M3x16 screws and nuts
1x microswitch type V-15-1C25 (no lever)
2x 4.8 mm wire spade connector (Glarks assortment from Amazon)
3x #4 x 1/2 inch screws (to hold the adapter plate)

HOW IT WORKS:
The spade connectors plug into the + and - terminals of the battery when the battery is inserted. The trigger pushes the plunger on the microswitch. All parts are held in place when the upper and lower are fastened together with the two M3 bolts and nuts. In this example I was powering a 12VDC fan.

WARNING!! The M12 batteries are very powerful and WILL CAUSE A FIRE if you accidentally touch the + and - wires together inside the adapter. Take care to keep all connections properly insulated and consider wiring a fuse in-line with your circuit. Do not connect the battery until all wiring is confirmed to be insulated and secure.

UPDATE 3 Oct 2021. I updated the STL files about 5 hours after initial upload. Apologies, I uploaded the wrong STLs initially.
