The file 'Lumbar Spine Model (with Congential Defects) 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 8.7MB.

Summary

This is a model of my own spine; featuring a segmentation defect/ankylosis, hypoplastic/absent coccyx, scoliosis, and moderate facet joint arthropathy.

To make this, I obtained a copy of the DICOM files from a SPECT/3D bone scan I had done, and converted the scan into a STL model using Slicer 3D.

This is my first attempt at creating a 3D model of any kind, and I found the process of learning this really entertaining and interesting! Now, I can take this model of my spine with me to allied health appointments to better illustrate my 'problem' areas.

If you've stumbled across my project and have any feedback for better refining the details or quality - especially on the surfaces of each vertebra, I would love to hear it :-)

This is a work-in-progress project. Currently perfecting the printing process.
