Summary

This is an enlarged remix of the original epidural trainer to include a reservoir to allow CSF simulation. The lumbar spine halves are glued together paying careful attention to maintain alignment. Th whole spine is placed into the ligament mold to craft a simulated interspinous ligament. I recommend 10-15A silicone. Once cured then spine with pin placed in each end, is placed in the large flesh mold with super soft silicone filled to just inside spinal canal. Latex tubing is fitted into the spinal canal to approximate the dura. The exterior is crafted as
: upper and lower mid sections are connected using the right and left bolster. The right upper and lower are connected and then each to the mid section. Epoxy glue of choice can be used. Once the exoskeleton is fabricated the reservoir is attached to the mid upper segment. The spine is placed in between the upper and lower mid segment and secured using 2 pins. The latex tubing is allowed to protrude through the large round openings in the upper and lower mid section and trimmed to length so the the lower reaches the floor and the upper attached to the reservoir. The basin is designed to catch any leaking water. The entire trainer can be attached to the table top using a small c- clamp.

I printed in PLA with 15% insert, The sides are best printed with support. The pieces will fit 256 x 256 printbed.
