The file 'Low-Tech 3D Scanner 3D Printer Model' is (STL) file type, size is 180.3KB.
You will need a smart phone and relevant photogrammetry app to complete this as an actual scanner (SCANN3D, for example).
The idea was to make as simple a scanning device as possible for small objects. No lasers, lenses or mechanical parts, 'flat-packed' so that even people with poor quality print results can assemble it and get some use, while using a relatively small amount of filament to print off. A few drops of decent superglue are all that's required to assemble it.
The turntable plate is indexed with marks, these line up with one of the three corner posts on the triangular frame. Rotate the plate 1,2,4 or 6 marks at a time for each photo. The app will stitch them together when done to produce a 3D scan.
TIP It works best if printed all in one colour, ideally white. You can then surround the turntable with a white paper background 'wall' to achieve better results from your chosen photogrammetry app.
You will have to provide your own elastic band.
