Summary

Note that this is borderline too bulky for my 35lb dog :/. I think it'd be fine on a big dog but I'll probably just use it on road trips.

Tested and AirTag fits very snugly (can pop out with a screwdriver). Might want to scale up by 2% or so for a looser fit.

Assumptions:

  • Made with a 25mm width, 3mm depth collar in mind
  • Uses the tension from the collar to hold the AirTag in place

Steps to prepare:

  1. Print with support (I suspect trees will be easiest to get out of the narrow spaces)
  2. Insert AirTag white side first
  3. Insert dog collar by making a "V" with the fabric and sliding it in to the holds symmetrically
  4. Put collar on dog

This design has 1-2 mm of extra top material to do a negative/subtractive design on top. I put a QR code with my info for instance.
