The file 'Low Footprint, Ultra Light Tripod 3D Printer Model' is (stl, scad) file type, size is 4.1MB.
I wanted something lighter, smaller and more stable than the standard mini tripod found on ebay from China. And it should be sturdy enough to hold a Sony A6000 !
From the design of PHolzwarth, I finished with this remix composed of a very flat (once folded) tripod coupled to a rotula head that can be clipped and screwed in place on the tripod...
The rotula includes a Withworth standard photo screw whose rigidity is obtained after screwing inside a piece of M3 threaded rod.
Another piece of threaded rod is used to link the 3 feet together. A standard 25mm M3 bolt is used to set the rotula in place.
Obviously it allows a full rotation of the camera between landscape and portrait modes.
The weight is lower than 45 grams... ready for the trecks ;-)
