Summary

CONTEXT :

Hello everyone,

for my first upload on Thingiverse, I really wanted to give you something special, something that you'll have fun to create and feel proud to wear.

I found myself a real passion making 3D printed mask and I had this project to find and print a good model of loki's new crown. What a surprise when i didn't find anything here !

The whole project took me like 2 months and, yep, I decided to do this on Solidworks (all my apologize to the Blender's fan).

Knowing that it's my first project I will try to answer to your questions/requests as possible, this model is obviously not flawless and I'll need your help to improve it :) !

I hope you'll like it,

Axel.

CAUTION :

The first thing you should do is check the "Read me first" .txt, you'll find some usefull informations that will help you save time and print the perfect model for your head.

The 100% model was made to fit my little sister's head with a circumference of 200x140 (yeah, you definitly will scale it...).

BED SIZE :

I tried to give you different model to fit your printer as possible, the possibilities are :

"I have a huge printer" [200x200x200 at least]: you should try to print the crown in one piece.

NB : this will cost you more PLA for the supports.
NB2 : if you have a delta printer be sure carriages don't hit their endstop when printing at this height (h280 will be enough).
NB3 : when i tried it on cura with cartesian parameters, it cuts 10 mm from X and Y sides and let you in fact with a 190x190 bed size that can't print the crown in full size...

"I have a medium printer" [100x100x200 at least] : take a look in the "Cuted parts" folder then "Crown_4 pieces". This one will fit many printer (i hope so).

NB : take care, if you want to scale the model, the little holes that help you build the crown will scale too !

"I have a little printer" [100x100x120] : once again, go in the "Cuted parts" folder then open the "Crown_6 pieces". You'll find there the crown in 6 little pieces that should be printable on any recent 3d printer.

Special thanks to Wurfelrolle for the question :D !

TIPS :

Do you want to take control over the world ? This crown won't be enough to do so...
I hardly advice you to check the Chitauri Scepter from GlitchTech (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:305204) to achieve this goal. Trust me, you're way cooler when you have a crown AND an amazing scepter (thanks GlitchTech by the way !).
