Summary

Up-cycle your Logitech X-530 speaker system to a bluetooth speaker powered by a Makita battery pack.

This bluetooth speaker uses the speakers from 4 satellites and the subwoofer speaker from a Logitech X-530 speaker system.

Parts list:

Optional parts:

For the small speakers, use the 6mm bolts with printed washers. Or use 4mm bolts with any other washer. DO NOT over tighten the speakers.

Drill 4 holes in the Makita battery adapter that will line-up with the holes on the back of the speaker's body.
Open the screws and solder wires from the metal terminals (pay attention to polarity).
Mount the battery adapter on the back of the speaker, then drill a 3-3.5mm hole through both the adapter and speaker wall to pass the wire inside.
Seal the hole with some hot-glue or anything else.

Add the sealing foam around all panels where there will be seams and around the subwoofer speaker.

!!!! IMPORTANT !!!! The tolerance between subwoofer's magnet and small speaker's magnets is VERY tight.
1st mount the subwoofer plate
2nd mount the small speakers
3rd push the subwoofer speaker. Use a bit of force and wiggle it. It will fit eventually.
