A case for a LM2596 and a three wire meter.
This small LM2596 is also known as a HW411
The case snaps together.
There is a hole above the meter to adjust the voltage of the LM2596.
This is a remix of a simple case to now include the meter as well.
Some more info for you is that the larger LM2596 that has a meter right on the board seems to be known as a LM2596S and the board has HW319 on it.
This case is to make the small version, which I had laying around, better with the meter, which I had laying around as well.
These seem to be used a lot to drop the voltage on a 3D printer down to 5volts or 12volts to run LEDs or a fan.
I use it to power an ESP8266 at 5volts from a 12volt lithium backup battery to chart the voltage on the backup battery. I use a IN219 to read the voltage and I use Thingspeak.com to graph the voltage.
I just put things in cases so that I can put the circuits in bigger clear plastic cases I get from the dollar store so that the circuits don’t short out.
