Summary

This is the lampshade / LED strip holder that is compatible with 3/8" MiniPivot (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5866393) This LiteBar holds a strip of a dozen 5050 SMD LED's. These come with an adhesive backing but DO NOT peel off the backing strip to expose the adhesive as it will make it impossible to slide the strip into the groove inside the shade. I'm new to using these strip lights and I see a lot of different types available. The groove in this shade is designed to accept a 9.2 mm wide strip that is 1.5 mm thick. It's pretty tight tolerances so be sure to completely remove all support material at the open end. You also need to solder your wiring to the contacts at the end of the strip; be neat, too much solder build-up will make it hard to slide the wires into the hexagonal dowel that fits into the MiniPivot.

I printed this flat on a raft. The only place that requires support is the opening where the light strip slides in. The wiring pictured is 28 AWG.

3/23. I have added files for a 6 led and 9 led version.
