This case has the exact dimensions of the NiMH 6-cell stick packs and therefore fits perfectly old Tamiya chassis like M01..M04, TA01, TA02, TA03, TA05, DF01 (Hummer) and so on.
The battery is a Zippy Compact 2S 2200mAh 35C LiPo battery.
There are plenty of "round" hardcase LiPo on the market, but the ones I found either do not fit at all (Turnigy 4200; fits only newer chassis like M05 and TT01) or are too long (LRP 3300, 4600) so you can't secure the battery. This case solves the issue, with battery capacity being the trade-off.
