The file 'LiPo Charging Case 3D Printer Model' is (stl, dxf) file type, size is 64.6KB.

Summary

Charging case to charge up to 4 batteries at the same time.

Power source

Three options to power the case

  • Main power
  • XT-60 (7 - 28V DC)
  • Banana plug (7 - 28V DC)

24V PSU

I've put 2 server PSU's 460W each in the bottom of the case and connected them in serie.

ATTENTION!! you need to isolate the second PSU from the ground to prevent a short circuit!

You can also use 12v, but then you can not utilise the full potential of the chargers and the current in the wires will be greater.

Internal battery

I did not include an internal battery because I already own some bigger LiPo batteries and I can easily plug those in. There is not a lot of space left in the case, so it would be difficult to fit it in.

Cooling

2 fans for cooling are powered by a DC/DC converter connected to the left charger input.
The DC/DC converter is needed because the fans require 12V and the input voltage can range from 7V up to 28V.

In between the 2 chargers is a 3D printed separator to guide the airflow from one charger to the grid. This prevents the hot air from one charger to go into the next one.
