The file 'Lighthouse “Lange Jaap” 3D Printer Model' is (STL,ino) file type, size is 1.5MB.

Summary

Model of Lighthouse "Lange Jaap"

Location: Huisduinen NL
Scale 1 : 200 (height 31,5 cm)

Optional: simulating light (Fl(4) 20s) using a ATTiny (25,45 or 85)

History of the lighthouse.
The designer of the lighthouse was Quirinus Harder.
In 1877 the construction of the Lange Jaap began.
The sixteen-sided tower is made entirely of cast iron plates with a raised edge that screwed together, making the lighthouse very heavy (506.100 kg of cast iron).
With a height of 63,45 meters, LangeJaap is the tallest lighthouse still burning in the Netherlands and the tallest cast-iron tower in Europe.
The climb to the top has 284 steps.

If you want to print the model without the lighting simulation print all except the battery cap top and/or bottom.
I printed the 3 sections and the roof in dark red, the battery base in dark grey, the balcony in White and the bulb housing in transparent.

After printing, just glue the parts together, optional paint the doors green.

If you decide to put the Lighting option in the tower you need extra:
Printing: Battery cap top and Bottom
Hardware:

  • Led 5mm bright white or bright warm white (is more realistic)
  • Resistor 68 or 82 Ohm (smd 1210 / 1206 version)
  • Attiny 25, 45 or 85 dip version
  • Dip 8 socket (bent legs to make surface mount version)
  • Slide switch (micro)
  • 18650 Lithium battery 3.7V
  • 3mm bold 10-12mm and 2xnut piece of spring (for top battery cap)
  • battery contact plate (positive side) used as min/gnd in this model
  • 2x 3mm screw to secure bottom battcap and base to lower section
  • Electrical wire
  • PCB is optional
    If you decide not to use a PCB you can solder the wires directly to the ATTiny but;
Make sure to program your ATTiny first and test it before soldering wires to it.
