There are several options of printing the washers for optimised folding experience.
Standard is friction washer printed with hard filament. It's the smoothest to operate but can't hold heavy objects.
It can also be printed with flexible filament for more friction, but a bit noisy to operate.
If you are using it with heavy camera or extra long arms, use the locking washer which has teeth to prevent falling, especially for the base joints. The teeth allow 22.5 degree rotation segments.
All objects are orientated properly. The bolts are printed horizontally.
Tighten the knobs carefully. TWO knobs are necessary for each bolt to lock properly, to prevent unscrewing when folding the arms. It's important that the two knobs are tight between each other, and the compression between the knob and arm is less.
Only one knob is needed to use with locking washer.
Print "Base feet" with FLEXIBLE material for friction.
Print settings:
0.2mm layer height
No support
4 Wall lines
At least 35% infill
UPDATE HISTORY:
2020-11-07 - Arm First v2: Teeth groove made slightly deeper.
2020-10-30 - Clamp Frame v2 update: tray made slightly shallower so objects stay still when unclamping.
2020-10-19 - Clamp bolt v2 update. Less likely to strip.
2020-10-18 - Bolt and bar updated. Removed unnecessary chamfer which might cause the hex to strip within the socket and added more touching edges.
2020-10-08 - Added extension arm for more folds. Adjusted locking teeth orientation to remove confusion. New knob for locking washer. Made teeth groove on arms slightly deeper. More tolerance on bar thread.
*Make sure to setup the folding strength to a sufficient level. Use locking washer if necessary. I'm not responsible for potential damage to your devices.
