Toolrest Glide, and Tail Stock Brace for Lidl Parkside Wood Lathe.
I am not a fan on metal on metal and the first movement of this toolrest put my teeth on edge.
So here is a small insert, adds a nice slide and some stability to the tool rest. easy fit and nothing needed to hold it in place.
May have to remove the green plastic end cap to put this on but then just reinsert that.
Printed in PLA, but PETG or Nylon would likely be even better for less friction.
** Update
Added a Tail Stock support, By default it has a lot of slop and twist. Took a few iterations to get this correct, makes the contact patch wider and allows the plastic shell to also support the unit. ensure the stock is solid and immovable before turning on the lathe. Don't use nylon or lubricant on this part. If fitted correctly the original aluminium clamp should still engage the track to stop any movement.
