The file 'Lid Opening Limiter For Cheap Aluminum Motorcycle Top-case 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 236.2KB.
I bought a cheap aluminum motorcycle top case. It's great, but the top lid has no limiter, so it is easy to break the plastic hinge.
I found this video and was inspired by it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOFA5-vEpCI
Use double-sided foam tape to glue the parts to the top cover and the edge of the case as seen in the photos. Degrease both surfaces before gluing!
As a connector, I used a pair of top box lid straps from Givi/Kappa - part number "Z115R". It's very cheap - about $3-7 for a pair.
The ring is just put on tightly. You can glue it if you would like.
I printed only the top cover part with supports - and other parts without supports.
100% infill.
I mounted it on both sides.
