This model of a Lewis Structure is made up of 3 simple parts; the base, the element chip, and the pegs, which represent valence electrons. Once printed the model can be used as a manipulative to model the relationship between an elements group on the periodic table and the number of valence electrons the element has. This model can also be used to simulate ionic bonds by printing multiple bases and element chips.
