The file 'Levitation / Circular Enclosure For 20mm Diameter Motors 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 127.3KB.
This design will work with any motor that has a 20mm diameter. (Still looking for that 'perfect storm' in that high RPM / lower power curve folks, so feel free to share?)
A natural for a few robotics (read: GPIO) levitation experiments, we thought that we would share a tidy little design which allows you to arbitrarily layer a stack-able / cylindrical presentation together.
Notes:
Case holes are 6mm. -Will probably include some pins soon.
Included fan designs are for either a 2mm, or a 1mm shaft; measure twice, print once, and feel free to use with other motors.
The inner-circle fits snugly around a 20mm square / round motor, so no glue should be required.
We are using 9G servos; the design is light & intended for be-gimbaled usage.
Pulse width of up to 70% allows higher voltages in almost a linear / mathematically predictable model. Keeps things cooler (obviously?) as well.
