For proper labelling of small things, you can use this simple thing :)
I used the PAUSE AT LAYER function using Cura slicer (please see attached image for better understanding), and changed the color of the filament to better see the numbers/letters.

Hope this can help people label their small things properly - doorbell, padlocks, power switch and even house number.
