The file 'Lethal Company: Wearable Helmet & Tanks 3D Printer Model' is (step, stl) file type, size is 23.8MB.
The Company has requisitioned a replacement helmet for your scavenging needs - remove any remains of the previous employee before wearing.
Edit (27 Jan 2024): On popular demand, I have added a magnetised version of the helmet base; you will need 13 8x1 mm magnets.
I have also added a split version which divides the magnetised helmet into 4 separate pieces that can be printed on a printers with at least 180 x 180 x 180 build volumes. I've included slots for 1.75 mm filament to align the pieces before gluing them together. MAKE SURE NOT TO SUPPORT THESE SLOTS; use support blockers if necessary!
Edit (19 Dec 2023): Added alternate versions of the left and right ears and mouth pieces without holes.
Edit (11 Dec 2023): Split the helmet base into two parts (front and back) so you don't have to overscale anymore to fit your big head, and scaled to fit a standard adult head size. Additional fix to allow the visor to sit better.
Refer to the attached images on what parts to print and where to assemble everything together.
Print each part separately for best results, and remember to orient flat faces of the model to your printer's bed to minimise the use of supports.
VISOR
It is not recommended that you print the visor with an FDM printer. If you wish to print it, using a transparent resin in an SLA printer may yield better results. The company has also provided a visor mould that can be printed on FDM printers: heat a thin sheet of clear plastic and press it against the mould and let it cool to its new shape.
It is recommended that you leave a little excess around the edges so that you can secure it onto the inside of the helmet.
PIPING
It is probably better to purchase black flexible piping (the slots on the helmet ears and tank valves accept 15 mm OD at the current scale). Do take note that if you change the scale of the helmet, you'll have to adjust the size of the piping respectively. You may want to just cut some slits in the ends to squeeze them in if they're too big.
SCALING TO FIT
All the models should be scaled to the same relative proportions, but please check in your slicer before printing. STLs are unitless 3D models, so make sure your scaling is set to your own head size if you want to wear this.
1) You may want to add some thick pieces of foam on the inside of the helmet for better comfort and fit.
2) There are 4 hexagonal pins to align and snap the front and back of 2-way split version of the helmet together. If the connection is too right, sand/dremel the outer edges of the pins. If too loose, wrap tape around the outer edges of the pins.
3) Holes have been included in both mouth and ear pieces to allow you to better hear and communicate with your fellow employees. Consider adding a dark fabric mesh behind the holes to make them less obvious (if it affects you).
NOW GET BACK OUT THERE AND FULFILL YOUR QUOTA, EMPLOYEE!
