Micro USB Power Brick
for adding LEDs and other powered devices to your Lego builds.
I recently got the Seinfeld Lego kit, and thought the little stage lighting that comes with the kit would be even cooler if they were actually lights, so I added some stock LEDs to them.
I couldn't bring myself to hotglue the usb power connector to the back of the build (I think somewhere an angel looses its wings or something whenever glue touches a lego), so I designed this little brick to do the job.
This is two standard sized blocks that are modified to hold a standard micro USB power breakout board. The boards I used can be found cheap as dirt on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/ZXUEZHENG-Pinboard-Interface-Adapter-Breakout/dp/B07KS1RPMP
Not my most exciting model, but I thought others might have a need for it too, so I decided to upload it. I hope someone may find it useful for their various Lego projects.
Print with support in the orientation shown in pics.
I also recommend throwing some hotglue on top of and behind the usb plug itself to give it some structure. Those things will snap off the first time you mis-align the connector.
