The file 'LEGO Battery Box Mod 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 32.5KB.
This box allows the use of a larger battery pack...and a rechargeable one. It requires unsoldering the original battery box from the top piece. Then I soldered a quick connector for the specific battery packs that I had. I used screws that were slightly larger in diameter then the original ones, but they work perfectly. If you got to this point, you probably dont mind modifying a few LEGO pieces. It took having my 3yr old son destroying everything that we built to finally break me. Now little mods here and there are not that bad. The battery box makes having kids and trains more economical....especially for parents with kids who swear LEGO motors, lights, sensors do not need to be turned off. There isnt any LEGO connecting holes on the bottom of the box, so anchoring the top is necessary.
Also uploaded a slightly larger than original box that works great for smaller lipo batteries.
WARNING: This voids any warranties...if you are not confident at soldering then you should not be doing this....and I am not responsible for whatever you do.
