I had seen and printed the 12x12 mini crater plate, but it's not a standard size for Lego baseplates, the 16x16 one can be easily integrated in a larger layout of 32x32 plates.
- LDraw files for the 16x16 plate and the 32x32 Classic Space crater plate were converted to STL.
- MeshLab was used to extract the crater from the 32x32 plate, and resize to 50%.
- Meshmixer was used to remove all studs from the 16x16 plate in the area where the crater goes.
- Meshmixer was used to merge both files.
