You can no longer buy the mast foot for legacy BIC wind surfers, Using the excisting locking mechnism fixes that. Remove the slider, take off the end stops, remove the old locking mechanism. Install the spring from the old slider and put it on your printed one. Insert a M8 but into the new mech and slide back in using a screw driver to keep the spring compressed passed end stops. reassemble.
You can now screw on a modern m8 boot. screw the boot on before installing it in the surfer as the nut may fall to the bottom.
Print with 3.2mm thick walls and 100 percent grid infill. Its mega strong.
