The file 'Laserpointer Adapter For Easy Polar Alignment For Skywatcher EQ-5 Pro SynScan GoTo 3D Printer Model' is (f3d,stl) file type, size is 5.3MB.
I designed an adapter to mount my laser pointer instead of the polar scope to get an easy first polar alignment before I make the final alignment with my ASIair Plus.
It is suitable for this laser: https://www.moveshootmove.com/collections/move-shoot-move-rotator/products/polar-alignment-for-astro-photography
I also attached the f3d-files for easy adaption onto your laser pointer.
I splitted the design in two parts, so you can print the part 02 with the thread with a high resolution and the part 01 with a lower resolution.
My workflow goes like this.
01 Point my Skywatcher EQ-5 Pro roughly north and level it
02 switch on the laser + align vertically and horizontally to polaris as good as possible
03 make the final polar alignment with my ASIair
This saves my a load of time, because this way the mount is already very good aligned.
If you have a strong laser you can make the alignment already at dawn.
