The file 'Laser Cut Tile Replacement Case' is (svg) file type, size is 3.5KB.
Glowforge ready to print.
I have a bunch of Tiles that have failing batteries in them, so I ordered a bunch of replacements from Digi-Key. The rather scammy nature of the Tile’s construction (Soldered battery, and ultrasonically welded, tough as a Tick case) means you have to destroy the case to replace the battery.
Digi Key part number CR-2032/VCN P660-ND
I was going to 3D print one, but have this laser sitting behind me, and some proof grade…
From 3mm Acrylic cut the middle disk that houses electronics.
From 1MM Maple veneer (with 3M adhesive backing) cut:
1 top.
The red dot is where you push the veneer to activate the tile. The small dot in the keyhole is placed over the switch inside the case to activate the button when the cover is pressed. I used the adhesive on the veneer to hold it over the button, but Kapton tape was my second choice
1 bottom.
This is the large round disk with the 3 speaker holes
1 "Shim” layer
(The same profile as the 3MM acrylic).
2 Board shims
Fit inside the compartment to hold the board and speaker
