The file 'Laser Cut Teaching Clock For CNC' is (dwg, dxf,nc) file type, size is 906.0KB.
Thank you ZenziWerken for producing this initial drawing file. I modified the Teaching Clock by ZenziWerken by making it CNC-friendly. I also had to scale the numerals for a 1/8" end mill and add a line in the middle of the digits to allow the CNC to engrave them. The CAD work was done in AutoCAD and the DWG and DXF files are attached. The CAM work was done in CamBam which generated the attached G-code. Lastly, Mach3 software was used to 'drive' the machine.
The material used is 1/4" MDF (actual thickness is .240") which was mounted to a thin spoiler-board. There are tabs to hold the components from breaking free. I did an initial light sanding with an orbital sander before applying a clear coat of paint to seal the wood before further painting. The numerals, 5-minute, and 1-minute features are 0.09" deep and are back-filled with acrylic paint. After the paint is dried, the face of the clock is sanded again. A final layer of clear coat is applied.
