The file 'Laser Cut Reciprocating Rack And Pinion' is (DXF) file type, size is 16.6KB.
This is an easy to make laser cut, fully functional reciprocating rack and pinion gear system that is laser cut from .194" (5mm) MDF and .160" (4mm) acrylic.
You can use MDF for all parts but making the rack gear from acrylic helps it slide easier.
Items needed for this build:
1 piece 2' X 2' .188" (5mm) MDF
1 piece 12" X 6" .160" (4mm) acrylic (optional, 5mm MDF can be used for all parts)
1 piece 1.0" (25.4mm) long, 3/8" diameter wood dowel
1 piece 2.5" (64mm) long, 3/8" diameter wood dowel
wood glue
