Putting the thing together:
This tool is made to be two parts that are bolted together, do not glue the whole assembly together or you won't be able to open it up to replace a spike. If you break a spike split the tool into its two halves, remove the spike and replace with one of the spare ones.

Step 1:
-Push nuts into wooden plate Number 1, and glue plate Number 2 to back of plate one using bolts to centre the pieces.
-Glue together the Top plate number 3 and the vertical supports [part number 4] for compressing.
Wait for the glue to set

Step2:
-Take the cured and set Spikes and push them thru the holes in plates 1 and two.

Step3:
-Bolt the whole assembly together.
