This is a pirate chest base to be laser cut from XPS foam board (Pink Panther Board) 1" thick.
There's an attached image showing which DXF files go where, how big it is, and a couple views.
For laser machines with at least a 470mm X 900mm bed (I use a Sculpfun S9 with a size extension kit). The attached nests are arranged as such. Stack each number and number+letter dxf right on top of each other, i.e. DXF1 & DXF1A must occupy the same position and orientation. The "DXF1A" or similar file will provide an extra set of guidelines for cutting the correct bevels on each piece.
Settings:
For a 5 watt (optical power) UV laser... put the DXF1 on the first layer set to 500mm/min 100% power, and DXF1A on a second layer with 2000 mm/sec 85% power. With air assist you should be able to do this in a single pass on each layer. The first layer cut should be the DXF1A cut, it will mark the board. The second slower layer will finish the cuts.
[ONLY CUT XPS FOAM IN A WELL VENTILATED SPACE]
Best of luck, I will upload a few build progress photos as I go... this is for a Halloween decoration setup in my front yard.
