Summary

This is a heavy remix of Findusdwarf's original design. I have expanded the size of the trays to hold 15 SD cards (no microSD at the moment).

I work in avionics, and SD cards are what we use 99% of the time for our LRUs, so I wanted a way to hold and organize everything, and split them into trays by type as much as possible.

The main stack is a solid 12 slots tall, not individual levels. Main stack has holes for heat set inserts to allow for expansion on all sides except for the front.

Examples I made are a left hand side mounted 40mm wide tab for printed labels, which are easier to read than being printed on the tabs for each tray. That label wing is attached with an M3x6 socket head bolt into the heat set insert in the main stack.

On the top is my first version of a topper. It has two slots at the back for holding sheets of sticky labels, and another slot for either more labels, or a let of laminated cheat sheets. Slots are offset to make it easier to pick from either slot without trying to separate them first.

In front of that are 12 slots for USB thumb drives. Ours don't have caps on the ends, so they can just drop in, no need to store the caps anywhere.

For me, I have a USB card reader that fits perfectly in the lower flat space in front of the USB slots.

The topper is also bolted on with M3x6 bolts.

The rear of the main stack also has heat set inserts, allowing for design of a wall mount bracket or stacking grid if you want to design one.

TODO: I have not finished my design for a bottom part. The bottom tray is very close to the desk, making is a little harder to grab. But there are heat set inserts on the bottom as well, so you can add legs, another mount, a drawer, whatever you want below it.
