Modeled after the Chicken in FLL Cargo Connect 2021-22, where the robot had to deliver a wind turbine without disturbing the chicken! This model is well-suited to using 3 different colors of PLA, printed one color at a time: 3 red parts, 4 yellow parts, 2 white parts. O
Our all-girl FLL team, the Talented Turbo Turtles, #52615, sponsored by New River Robotics Association, fell in love with the Chicken and found there's a following online - just search on FLL Lego Chicken. So when we hosted an FLL scrimmage at this year's FRC Crescendo event, Chicken trophies were a natural choice.
But chicken parts don't come easy in Lego, and we needed a dozen chickens quickly! I was surprised no one had modeled the famous chicken before, so our Educational license of Fusion 360 came to the rescue. The parts are designed to assemble with hot glue or a bit of Kragle. The base plate does snap onto real Lego so that you can create an award placard as shown in our photo of the final trophies.
You may want to use these as individual trophies for team members once your FLL season is over. Or just an insider-decoration in your trophy case or on your desk that other coaches will immediately recoginze!
