Made a laptop stand based on the design by JannesV. Raised the front lip and extended the rear supports to accommodate larger laptops, up to 18mm in base thickness. And most importantly changed the cross bar to a dovetail design with a friction fit, no glue or fasteners needed. May need some sanding for perfect fit depending on your settings and accuracy.
