Inspired by 'Laptop Stand' and 'Laptop Stand modified for larger laptop', I remixed my first attempt 'Laptop Stand for larger laptop with top guides' by modifing the original STL files. But now I have built a new version from scratch.

I also created a shorter version for smaller print beds (175x175 mm). But this short version may not fit for very large laptops.

Note: The dimensions of the connecting bar are an exact match for the joints in the feet. Depending on the accuracy error of your printer, you may want to shrink the bar before slicing. Shrinkage of 2% has been found to be a good starting point. Change to a lower amount of shrinkage if you find that it does not fit tight enough.

Update: I made a version 2 where the corners are no longer based on circles. They are now Bézier curves. I also added a snap-in pit for the joints.

I use the stand mainly for a laptop connected to a USB docking station. To avoid a broken USB port, I have added a USB plug support arm. The size and position of the USB plug support depends on the size of the laptop and the position of the USB port. Feel free to open the scad file in Openscad (local app or web app) and change the parameter set to suit your needs.

I measured the laptop stand shape from the original STLs and extracted the key values needed to define the shape of the stand. I then worked out the math to calculate the dependent values and developed a SCAD source to generate my version of the laptop stand.

Now the laptop stand can be adapted to your personal needs. Simply change the key values.
