This is a designed wax starter strip for regular frames or top bar types. It has been designed and optimized to help the honeybee to build at the natural slope of 13 degrees and with a strip height of one cell high, this will provide for a cell about 11mm deep. The honeybee preferred dimensions have been known since the 1850s up to present day. The length can be changed in your slicer for whatever length you need. A shorter version is also included (1/3 Langstroth length). Coat the bottom side with a thin layer of beeswax prior to use, to encourage the bees to build on it.
