I recently arrived in my new house were all lamps are provided using these "DCL" boxes (in french : boites De Connexion Luminaire). It is now mandatory to install these when refurbishing or building a house.
Those are supposed to ease the process of mounting lamps, and provide also a standard lamp socket, to avoid having parts under voltage apparent during construction.
Sometime mounting your old lamps on these can be a real PITA so why not using them to build your own new lamp?
This is the idea of this adaptor : it can be easily mounted on those dirties DCL boxes, using the existing threaded hook if you're to lazy to buy a screw...
Then you have those for clipping hooks, so that any part with a cylinder oh height 6.1mm and radius 39.5 (79 diameter) will snap in.
Like this "beautiful" lamp I designed.
Print one adaptor, 4 clips, use some superglue (clips should fit just fine.) et voilĂ !
