I made a simple little clip on thingy to attach some basic springs that I got from the hardware store I work at.
because I keep forgetting what kind of springs to get.... ಠ_ಠ
they are roughly 4mm dia. x 18mm long
or 5/32 x 15/16 when you buy them in a handi-pack from menards for $1.19

made for diagonal rods with a 5mm diameter.
snaps onto the rod firmly and shouldn't slide around.
