Gen 3 of the KLR650 doesn't have the ability to switch off the ABS, which is not ideal in the off-road setting.
A video has been making rounds on how to wire a button to enable/disable ABS as required; however, I didn't like how insecure the connection is.
Numerous posts have been about trying to locate the actual plug that Kawasaki used for the ABS, and the only one I managed to track was ridiculously expensive.
This project focuses on creating male and female plugs using simple spade connectors to replicate Kawasaki's ABS plug and allow you to create your harness to connect an on/off button for the ABS.
I slightly modified the spade connector to make it a bit narrower. I have also made the plug so that you can prepare your connections and then glue the pins into the plug so that the spade connectors stay secure in the 3D-printed plug.
I am happy to get feedback on this as this is the first project I have made of this kind.
