Summary

I designed some parts for DIY Klipsch-style speakers. I got inspired by the RP-600M speakers.

Design

  • Speaker Horn (2-part) designed for Peerless D19TD05-08 Tweeter, but may fit others.
  • 6.5" Woofer "FR-65YL-M" from aliexpress.
  • Woofer Trim Ring designed for 6.5" Woofer.
  • Bassreflex Pipe and Flareport designed for a cabinet (22mm wall thickness) inner volume of 14 L.
  • Terminal Plate designed to fit Dayton Audio BPP-G Premium Binding Post.

Cutouts

  • Speaker Horn 142 x 142mm, 125 x 125mm
  • Flare Port 130 x 85mm
  • Terminal Plate 80 x 80mm

UPDATE 2022-02-15!

  • Added a Woofer Trim Ring for 6.5" Woofer.

UPDATE 2022-02-17!

  • I am currently reworking the Flare Port and the Pipe because the current air speed is 47m/s. This can result in puffing sound, or not because of the flared ends.

UPDATE 2022-02-18!

  • Added the new Flare Port Outer, Pipe and Flare Port Inner. (Port frequency: 60hz, Air Speed: 26,09m/s). Removed the old Flare Port and Pipe.

UPDATE 2022-02-18!

  • Refined the Horn and Terminal-Plate.

UPDATE 2022-04-05!

  • Working on parts inspired by RP-504C (Center) and RP-6000F (Floor-standing). I will be uploading them later on.

UPDATE 2022-04-20!

  • Refined the Woofer Trim Ring and removed the old one.
