My grandfather Karl Bier was a first-class maker and architect. He died when I was very young, so I never knew him, but I have some of his furniture in my house, and his level of craftsmanship has always inspired me.
He made a burr puzzle out of hardwood that we still have. It has a shine and finish that comes from many, many hours of being handled in the 60 or so years since it was made.
I've modeled an exact replica of that puzzle, and I hope people have as much fun with this one as I did over the years with my grandfather's wooden one.
