This is the part which I connected to the camera. The part which is connected to the tripod is also in my channel. I used for this a hex low socket head crew 1/4-20 3/8.
I installed this on my tripods so that it is not so much work to switch between several camerars and tripods.
For me it worked. I think it could be a little bit longer.
