she is 100% non-manifold as of 0.5k. included a non-SS STL. model will have more thin wall issues post-SS. do not select waistband, dolls or any zz- when exporting from current BLEND file. i still need to figure out what i'm doing w/ eye sockets, more edge dissolving, vertex smoothing, etc.

i'm trying something new as of 0.5k. after you apply SS modifier, you'll have to apply BOOLEAN modifier on 'belt bottom' objects --> DIFFERENCE using corresponding 'hole' objects that have already been subsurfed. its better this way. that's it for now. good night.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD OR TRY TO PRINT THIS WIP. ITS FAR FROM FINISHED... AND EVEN WHEN IT IS, I DOUBT ANY COMMERCIAL 3D PRINTER WILL BE CAPABLE OF HANDLING IT. THIS IS MORE OF A 'PROOF OF CONCEPT' BUT I WILL FINISH IT.

ok. now that i got that out of the way. i already gave up on prince eugen only to discover that kaga is even more complex. these models are ridiculously detailed. its almost a shame they're wasted in a fast-paced 3rd-person shooter. i only posted the mask since a 200MB 3xSS unfinished/unprintable STL would only waste bandwidth.

almost everything about this model is overkill in terms of poly count, but she is definitely gonna look nice once its all said and done. i have to make some key decisions about the eyes since they floated the pupil/iris in an empty socket (no sclera again). the other stuff is mostly grunt work, except for solidifying the kimono, which is gonna be a bit challenging... nothing i can't handle though. the reason i said this model will not be printable by mere mortals is due to THIN WALLS. even if you print this in resin, you'll have to scale up to get all the accessories or print them separately.

again... don't get your hopes up for this model. maybe in the year 2525 someone will actually be able to print her.

"i choose to rip models not because they are easy, but because they are haaaard."

stay tuned. i'm already about 30 hours into this one but determined to finish it when my health improves a bit.
