This thing is a custom made air-assist nozzle for the popular K40 laser engraver/cutter. It mounts on the stock head.
The STL has a 1/4NPT thread for pressure air quick connect and a side hole for M3 brass threaded insert to secure the assembly onto the laser head.
The STEP is provided with no thread and no side through hole for customization. There should be enough meat on both to accommodate your specific needs.
The main blow hole has a 3mm diameter and is aimed at the focal point (2in from lens). Another 1.5mm hole feeds the cone in an effort to create a downward air flow keeping fumes from getting to the lens. The clearance to the focal point is 15mm. Laser through hole is 5mm.
I am using a 350 W / 0.5HP airbrush pump to generate my air assist flow, quiet and inexpensive.
