The file 'Just Married-Award (dual Extrusion) 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 105.6KB.
friends of mine just married. so i desinged them a neat litte reminder, date of the event included on the bottom side of the stand. so hopefully they will look up the date and won't forget the wedding day in a few years. but if they do...uhps, not my fault :-D
======= update 23.02.2017 =============
after a lot of help from the community and calibration on my printer, i was able to print this neat little present again, and it turned out very fine!! :-) sadly, the rings got apart and i had to glue them back on top (of a new stand...) but when they got theyr present ... well, it was worth it!! check out the "i made one" for further details
======= end of update ================
this is one of my first dual extruded prints. and as you can see on the (post-production-)pics, i'm not very happy with the result.
MAIN ISSUES:
1) oozing: golden filament contaminated the white stand
--> ooze shield was used, but still the color fragments at the stand
--> print it separatly and glue it together afterwards?
2) connection between stand and rings looks horrible
--> extruder with gold filament (extruder2) wasn't primed? --> gcode script?
3) bottom area of the rings (big overhang) are ugly
--> no supports possible, or the white stand will become more contaminated with the golden filament
4) lots of stings
--> increase the retraction?
5) insufficient bridging
--> better cooling? faster movement while bridging?
ANY IDEAS? please let me know in the comments, and let's improve this thing!!
