The file 'John Deere Type E Hit & Miss Engine Kit 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 1.6MB.
While demonstrating 3D printing, several people admired my Fairbanks Morse Hit and Miss Engine http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:113398/#files but asked if I had a model of a John Deere engine. Seems here in Minnesota there are quite a few John Deere collectors. Well, I figured that would be easy enough. Just place a water tank on top of the cylinder of the Fairbanks model. But then I did some research. The John Deere Type E engines were much smaller than the Fairbanks, and look very different from them. These Deere engines were sized from 1-1/2 to 6 horse power and there were lots of them. So I started this model from scratch.
It is about 1/10 scale for the 1-1/2 hp engine. The skids were typically wood and the rest painted John Deere green. These small engines are still popular for powering ice cream makers.
The fuel line running from the (gas tank) to the cylinder head is a piece of 1.75 mm filament. The holes may need some reaming to accommodate it.
