The file 'IPhone XS Max PLA Bumper -remix From Adafruit 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 292.4KB.
EDIT 2:
DON'T PRINT THIS YET. Its a work in progress and won't fit:
Well it got a little harder than I thought, so I'll have to work on it tomorrow when I don't have actual work. The issue is that the downstream changes are affected by the initial sketch changes (of course) but not in the right way.
It didn't throw any errors but it did not run downstream correctly because it is not a parametric model. I'll have to go back through every step and extrusion to make sure the holes and filets are in the correct spot. I'm also very much a novice at this so making forward progress into unknown territory is a cumbersome and long process.
Preordered an iPhone XS Max on 9/14 and ordered a sweet case on 9/15. Case manufacturer is swamped and it hasn't even gotten on the slow boat from china. Needed an iPhone XS Max case that was minimal to get me through a week or so and didn't see any on Thingiverse.
Downloaded the 360 file for Adafruit's iPhone X bumper and did a little math to account for the offsets they used on their smaller iPhone X case. I have a roll of TPU and plan to modify the other file also but already had PLA loaded.
Printing it now- will find out later tomorrow when UPS delivers if it actually fits or not. I'll modify and re-post if it doesn't.
Orientation is all crazy due to 360's default plane (I changed mine from the default but looks like adafruit didn't) so just rotate 90* and place on bed.
30% infill, no supports.
Hope this helps some people that have an awesome case and don't want to buy insane markup release day cases to get through!
