Summary

This is a test model of a teleprompter meant to work with standard DSLR, MFT and mirrorless camera lenses up to 82mm in filter diameter.

In addition to making this item, you'll need

  • 1x standard 1/4-20" screw
  • 1x set of Cokin P series filter adapters (see below)
  • 1x mobile phone holder
  • 1x plexiglass/acrylic/transparency slide
  • Some adhesive or glue (not needed for v3)

For the filter adapters, you can pick up an off-brand equivalent. We'll be using just the adapter ring part but you get a bunch of other goodies! For the mobile phone holder, I am a huge fan of Glif but you obviously can just use one taken off a selfie stick as well.

EDIT [2018-12-11]: I found that transparency slides costs too much to buy. You can get a clear "presentation cover" which can be found for much cheaper than transparency slides or acrylics.

EDIT [2019-02-25]: Also check out this other simple way to hold your phone to the teleprompter if you don't need to move the set up a lot: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3452732
